salOWN didn't start in an office. It started behind the chair — in a real, busy London barbershop.
salOWN wasn't built in an office or by a team of consultants. It was built behind the chair — in a real, busy London barbershop, by a professional barber who also happens to be a web developer.
It actually started with something much smaller. An old Celeron laptop. A simple price list for our own shop. Then a website. Then a booking system. And slowly, one problem after another, we started building the tools we wished we had.
Living in both worlds — running a barbershop and writing code — every problem on the floor became something we could build our way out of:
Every feature in salOWN exists because we needed it ourselves first. We build it, use it in our own shop, test it with real clients, improve it, and then release it to other salons.
That's the difference. salOWN isn't software built for the industry from the outside. It's built from inside the industry — by someone who still works behind the chair, still runs a salon, and still ships improvements every single day.
Today, salOWN runs live in London salons and continues to evolve from real feedback and real problems happening on real salon floors.
